Caution money is an official statutory deposit mandated by GeM and deposited directly by the seller into their government GeM wallet to ensure contract compliance (as specified in GeM 4.0 GTC Version 1.7 dated 13 January 2023). The prescribed slabs are: (1) Seller turnover less than ₹1 crore: ₹5,000, (2) Seller turnover between ₹1 crore and ₹10 crore: ₹10,000, (3) Seller turnover more than ₹10 crore: ₹25,000. Important: Your Legal Finance does NOT collect, handle, or charge caution money deposits.
